About MechaForge

Passionate about games, committed to honest journalism. Australia's most trusted gaming review platform since 2013.

Built by Gamers, for Gamers

MechaForge was founded in 2013 by a small group of Sydney-based gaming enthusiasts who were frustrated by the lack of locally-focused, independent game coverage in Australia. What began as a passion project in a Newtown share house has grown into one of Australia's most-read gaming publications.

Our mission has always been simple: deliver honest, thorough, and insightful coverage of video games and esports that serves the Australian gaming community. We never accept payment for reviews, we never let advertising influence our editorial decisions, and we always put our readers first.

Today, MechaForge reaches over 85,000 readers every month and covers everything from blockbuster AAA releases to independent gems, as well as the full spectrum of Australian and Asia-Pacific esports competition.

What We Stand For

✅ Editorial Independence

Our reviews are never influenced by advertising relationships, publisher relationships, or commercial considerations. Every score reflects our genuine assessment of the game.

🇦🇺 Australian Focus

We review games from an Australian perspective, considering local server performance, regional pricing context, and the preferences of the Australian gaming community.

🔎 Transparency

We clearly disclose when review copies are provided by publishers, and we maintain a strict separation between editorial and commercial content at all times.
